In various articles acceleration from 0 to 60 mph was reported in the range of 9.5 to 9.7 seconds. I've tried this once, but my Edsel was a little slower. With respect to the age of engine and transmission I didn't check if the maximum speed of 120 mph can be reached.

Speed Age published an Edsel test in June 1959. The Ranger was equipped with the smaller V8 (292 cu in, 200 bhp) and a 3 speed automatic transmission. Acceleration form 0 to 60 mph was reported 10.8 seconds, maximum speed 119 mph.
